Bailee's Cookie

The other day we went to Jeremiah's preschool show which was adorable. After the show we got to enjoy many delicious deserts and Bailee choose a cookie with bright blue frosting on it. Of course, she really only wanted to eat the frosting which she covered her face with. Then, being all girl, was absolutely disgusted by the stick blue all over her face and hands. It was very cute to watch.

Sleeping Beauty

Jeremiah came to me the other day and said, "Mom, did you know Bailee's kinda Sleeping Beauty?" Oh yeh, why do you say that? "Cause Bailee likes to sleep a lot and when you try to wake her she just says Sleep and rolls over."
**From the words of my observant 4 year old.**

These are a couple pictures I took at the wild animal park in southern ca and then had fun with my computer programs to enhance. My talents do not lie in photography (the taking of pictures). I'm a real wannabe, but every once in a while a picture comes out really nice and then I try my hand at editing and so to every eye, their own opinion, but I was happy with these two photos.

Sunday Dinner

So What Do You Think???? I want to know if I'm the cool mom in town or the nutty bread lady. You can be honest because right now I'm tired and thinking maybe the nutty bread lady. I love donuts but it's a rare treat because of course its a treat and costs money. I am always trying out ways to make things at home that I could have bought at the store but don't really have or feel like spending the money for. And I think probably subconsiously I am facinated with the thought that I could actually make something that I could have bought and have it be worth eating. So what do you think? Homemade glazed sourcream dougnuts with chocolate milk for dinner. Ok to really put me in the looney I also made some cinnamon swirl bread just in case the dougnuts flopped or something. ------So my children sat down to dinner and informed me right away that there wasn't a single thing in our dinner that was healthy to eat. What smart children I have! But we enjoyed anyway. Also as a side note, I have a new appreciation for the cost of things at the store because as cool as it may be to know I can make my own donuts, I think I'd rather just spend my $3 something and have donuts ready to eat on a whim than go to the work at home. But if I really really really wanted to, now I know that I could do it myself and be happily satisfied.

Fun at Grandpa's

When we went to AZ for Memorial Weekend, John got the horse from the pasture and helped everyone that wanted to go for a ride. Here is Benjamin and Joshua starting out. And here is my sweet sexy husband who caved under my peer pressure and rode a horse for the first time since he was maybe 10yrs old. He was a bit nervous to begin with and ended up really enjoying the experience.

I also got a turn(my peer pressure was if he went I would too, though my follow thru wasn't for sure in the back of my mind. David insisted and I had fun.:)
For a few extra turns, John led the horse around my parents yard with whoever wanted another go. Here is Aimee and Jeremiah.

And Bailee, I wanted her to get a ride too. So initially she was fussing a bit and we hoped she'd calm quickly because the noise was upsetting the horse, and she did but you can see the look in her eyes says she was still unsure, though mostly ok since daddy had her.

Thanks to John for his efforts to get the horse ready.
